Custom software development
Software built around how your company actually works, when spreadsheets, e-mail threads and off-the-shelf tools no longer fit.
When custom software makes sense
- A key process lives in spreadsheets and depends on one person remembering the rules.
- Off-the-shelf tools force you to change the way you work, or you pay for many of them and copy data between them.
- Mistakes are expensive: double bookings, missed deadlines, data entered twice.
- You need clear permissions and a record of who changed what.
If a ready-made product solves the problem well enough, we will say so: it is usually cheaper.
What we build
- Web applications that work on desktop and mobile, including customer-facing portals.
- Internal systems: customer management, scheduling, booking, simple CRM, admin panels and reports.
- APIs and integrations with the systems you already use, such as payments, CRM or ERP.
- Automation of repetitive steps in existing processes.
How we work
- Conversation: the problem and the outcome you need, before any technology.
- Definition: scope, priorities and constraints, agreed together.
- Architecture and design: a solution that is reliable and easy to change later.
- Iterative development: small increments with regular feedback.
- Testing and deployment: automated tests and a repeatable release pipeline.
- Further development: support, monitoring and changes as your needs change.
How it looks in practice
In Jazdo, our driving school system, the database itself refuses a lesson that would clash with an instructor's or a car's existing booking, so a mistake can't slip through a busy office. In Kindora, for nurseries, every attendance correction is audited and guardians only see the children they are verified for.
Technologies
We usually build with ASP.NET Core (.NET) and Angular, with PostgreSQL or SQL Server, running on Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure. We choose what fits your project and your team's future maintenance, and you own the code.
Additional services
Available on their own or alongside a project:
- Software architecture consulting: a review of an existing or planned system, its risks and a practical plan for improving it.
- Legacy system modernisation: moving an older system to a current technology step by step, so the business keeps running during the change.
- Integrations and data migration: connecting systems and moving existing data safely.
Questions and answers
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the scope. Describe your project to our assistant and you will see an indicative range straight away; the final price and timeline are agreed after an individual review, before any work starts.
Who owns the code?
You do. The code, the data and the documentation are yours.
